"In Pursuit of the Water Wolf" After more than two years in the making BT2 Productions Inc. has recently completed filming its first full length fly fishing movie, Pike on the Fly "In Pursuit of the Water Wolf". From start to finish "In Pursuit of the Water Wolf" offers up some of the most incredible flyfishing action ever caught on film! From explosive top water takes to bow wakes of four foot long pike as they push some serious water as they hone in and track down the fly! See what Barry means when he says pike hit flies with bad intentions! Filmed in some of the most pike infested waters of North America. From little known rivers and tributaries of the mighty Yukon River in Alaska to the massive water sheds of Wollaston Lake follow along as Barry shares with you some of the exciting action a fly angler can expect to find while pursuing the great Northern Pike on the fly. Barry explains his admiration and respects for this tremendous game fish and what keeps him coming back year after year, the quest for the "Holy Grail" a pike of over 50 inches on the fly! In fact eight pike of over 50 inches were taken during production including Barry's new personal best a monster pike of 54 inches in length and 28 inches in girth. Finally experience the sheer beauty of some of the wildest places left on earth while flyfishing for one of freshwaters top end predators! These sections are pieced together with incredible fishing action, heart pounding takes, and big, big pike! The soundtrack is equally gripping as it helps complete the story. Sure to please all, Pike on the Fly "In Pursuit of the Water Wolf" will entertain those who love to fish! Also included in the DVD is a special bonus footage section for those of you who want to know more about the flies, leaders, and other terminal tackle! Due to be released November 2007, in the meantime the trailer can be viewed here or in the project section of this web page! |
![]() Welcome to the Barry Reynolds home page! The goal of this website is to introduce fly anglers from all over the world to a different kind of flyfishing. Flyfishing, once believed to be the soul domain for trout, salmon, and even more recently saltwater species is now beginning to open its doors, and arms, to embrace species like carp, pike and a variety of other types of fish that were once considered taboo! In today's world of fly angling nothing could be further from the truth! With a few exceptions practically any species of fish has now been taken on the fly. My goal during my flyfishing life is to continue to educate and help fly anglers think outside the trout box. I make no apologies for my pursuit of less glamorous fish such as carp, many of these less sought after species have as much, if not more to offer and teach us than the more traditional species do. Make no mistakes, I love my trout fishing and spend many days each year in pursuit of them, but there is more to the sport and art of flyfishing than pursuing a single species or flyfishing by one method alone. As you browse this site please take time to visit all the different areas. We will continually update the photo gallery with new slide shows and great music. . Other areas of this site include Bio's on the production team, Friends of the show; these are companies, lodges, and other good people that support not only the show but the flyfishing industry as a whole. There is also a contact department where you can drop me an email to share a story or photo, and even an opinion on something you might disagree with. Last but not least we have the company store where you can order books, DVD's, and specialty flies. |
